Nature's most colorful houseplant. Crotons (Codiaeum variegatum) are tropical showstoppers with bold, multicolored foliage in fiery reds, oranges, yellows, and greens — no two leaves exactly alike. Give them bright light and they'll reward you with nonstop color year-round.
🌿 Fun Fact: Croton leaves are literally color-reactive — the more bright light they receive, the more intense and vivid their colors become. In low light, they'll fade toward green. Think of them like a living mood ring: their color tells you exactly how happy they are. Move them to your sunniest window and watch the transformation.
Vivid, multicolored foliage — reds, oranges, yellows, and greens in striking patterns
Bold variety — from broad-leafed 'Petra' to twisted 'Mammy' and speckled 'Gold Dust'
Color-reactive — more light means more vibrant, saturated color
Statement plant — one of the most visually dramatic houseplants you can grow indoors
Greenhouse-fresh — every plant shipped directly from our nursery partners
Care at a Glance
Light: Bright indirect to some direct light — the more light, the more vivid the color
Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged; allow the top inch to dry between waterings
Humidity: Prefers higher humidity; mist regularly or use a humidifier
Temperature: 60–85°F; very sensitive to cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F
💡 Pro Tip: Crotons are drama queens when it comes to moving. Expect some leaf drop when you first bring yours home — this is normal stress from the change in environment. Give it consistent light, warmth, and humidity and it will settle in and push new growth within a few weeks.
Every plant ships with our Arrive Alive Guarantee and free shipping nationwide.

Alocasia Variegated Frydek Brandie Perry
The plant did not arrive in great shape. However, it was an alocasia and I did not add insulation so this is not on the seller (and we all know alocasia does not travel well anddddd they come back)
From start to finish the transaction was amazing. They gave me a discount for my next order even though I didn't ask for one because I knew the risks, and they continued to answer my questions and help me! Will def order again from them and would encourage others to as well!
