Last Updated: August 7th, 2026
Overview
At Izzy's Tropicals and Plant Shop we partner with specialized commercial greenhouses in Florida and California to guarantee your live plants are shipped fresh. All orders include Free Nationwide Shipping—with no minimum order requirements and no hidden fees. We take pride in making sure your plants arrive healthy and alive.
Where We Ship
We ship exclusively within the United States. We do not offer international shipping.
Fulfillment & Shipping Origin
Izzy's Tropicals and Plant Shop is headquartered in Dilley, Texas. To ensure every plant reaches you in peak condition, we fulfill orders directly through our established commercial greenhouse partners located in Central Florida and Southern California.
Shipping directly from these optimal growing environments allows us to reduce transit time, maintain peak plant health during shipment, and provide efficient national coverage across the United States. Your order may ship from either location depending on species availability, your delivery destination, and current nursery inventory. Regardless of origin, every plant is inspected, carefully packaged, and shipped with the same strict commitment to quality.
If you have any questions about your order's origin, please contact us at support@izzyplants.com.
Shipping Cost
  • Free Nationwide Shipping on every single order—no minimums, no exceptions.
Processing & Delivery Timelines
We process and ship orders systematically to avoid live plants sitting in carrier facilities over weekends or during extreme weather conditions.
  • Order Processing & Handling Time: 1–3 business days (Monday – Friday). Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the following business day.
  • Transit Time: 2–5 business days depending on your destination and the chosen carrier.
  • Estimated Delivery Window: 3–8 business days from your initial order date.
Carriers
We ship via UPS, FedEx, and USPS, selecting the fastest available service for live plant orders based on your region. Once your order ships, a tracking number will be emailed to you immediately so you can monitor your delivery.
Packaging
All plants are carefully packaged in custom-designed plant packaging engineered to secure and protect live specimens during transit. We use sustainable, paper-based materials throughout and wood wool around the base of the plant to lock in necessary moisture—keeping single-use plastics to an absolute minimum.
❄️ Cold Weather Shipping
Tropical and subtropical plants are sensitive to cold temperatures. Cold exposure can cause mushy, darkened, or wilted leaves—and severe cold damage is often irreversible.
  • Our Measures: We closely monitor regional weather conditions daily and may temporarily hold shipments until it is safe to transit through extreme cold snaps.
  • Heat Pack Policy: A heat pack is strongly recommended for orders shipping to cold-weather regions—one heat pack per every 3–4 plants. It is the customer's responsibility to add a heat pack to their order at checkout when shipping to cold-weather regions.
  • Important: If you decline a heat pack at checkout and your plant arrives cold-damaged, your order is not eligible for our 30-Day Arrive-Alive Guarantee, replacement, or refund. By declining a heat pack, you accept full responsibility for cold-related transit damage. This aligns directly with our Return & Refund Policy.
Preparing for Delivery & Arrival
Please bring your package inside as soon as possible after delivery. Live plants should never be left outdoors on a porch, near a mailbox, or exposed to direct hot sun or freezing temperatures for extended periods.
When your plant arrives, please follow these steps:
  1. Open the box immediately and place your plant in bright, indirect indoor light.
  2. Avoid sudden temperature shifts or drafts.
  3. Water the plant only if the topsoil feels completely dry.
  4. Do not repot right away—allow the plant to acclimate to your indoor environment for at least a few days.
Note: Minor cosmetic stress such as a single yellowing leaf, a slightly bent stem, or mild soil disturbance can naturally happen during shipping and is completely normal. These minor cosmetic imperfections do not qualify for a replacement or refund claim. For severe transit damage or dead-on-arrival plants, please refer directly to our Return & Refund Policy and email us photo proof within 30 days.
Incorrect Shipping Address
Please double-check your shipping address carefully before completing checkout. Address changes can only be accommodated within 24 hours of order placement by emailing support. If an order is delivered to an incorrectly entered address we are not responsible for non-delivery resulting from an incorrectly entered address. We will work with you to address the issue.
