Winter Plant Shipping Protection

Tropical and subtropical houseplants are sensitive to cold temperatures. Cold exposure can cause mushy, darkened, or wilted leaves — and severe cold damage is often irreversible. If you're ordering during cold weather months or live somewhere that dips below 50°F, adding a heat pack to your order is strongly recommended.

Heat Pack Sizing Guide

• 1–2 Plants — 1 heat pack
• 3–6 Plants — 2 heat packs
• 7–12 Plants — 3 heat packs

When to Add a Heat Pack

• Daytime temps at your destination drop below 50°F
• Ordering between November and April
• You are located in a northern, mountain, or cold-climate region

⚠️ Important: It is the customer's responsibility to add a heat pack to their order at checkout when shipping to cold-weather regions. If you decline a heat pack and your plant arrives cold-damaged, your order is not eligible for our 30-Day Arrive-Alive Guarantee, store credit, or replacement. By not adding a heat pack, you accept full responsibility for cold-related transit damage. This aligns with our Return & Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.
