The Silver Streak Pothos (Epipremnum aureum 'Silver Streak Variegated') is a collector's take on one of the world's most beloved houseplants. Where the classic Golden Pothos goes wide and bold, the Silver Streak goes sleek and sophisticated — its narrow, elongated leaves are streaked and splashed with silvery-gray variegation that catches light beautifully and gives the whole plant a cool, metallic elegance. The vining habit is graceful and fast-growing, making it equally stunning in a hanging basket, trailing from a high shelf, or climbing a moss pole where the leaves grow larger with every node.
Like all Pothos, the Silver Streak is an Epipremnum aureum cultivar native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, where it grows as a climbing vine on tree trunks, using aerial roots to anchor itself and reach toward the forest canopy. Indoors, it's one of the most adaptable and forgiving vining houseplants you can own — tolerating low light, irregular watering, and average humidity with the same easy-going resilience that has made Pothos the most popular houseplant in the world. The Silver Streak adds collector-worthy variegation to that already unbeatable package.
🌿 Fun Facts
The silver streaking on the leaves is caused by air pockets beneath the leaf surface that reflect light differently than the surrounding green tissue — the same phenomenon responsible for the silver markings on Scindapsus pictus (Satin Pothos), to which the Silver Streak is closely related in appearance.
Pothos are sometimes called Devil's Ivy — a nickname earned because they stay green and keep growing even in the dark, seemingly refusing to die no matter how neglected they are.
In the wild, Pothos leaves grow dramatically larger as the vine climbs higher — mature leaves in the forest canopy can reach over 3 feet long, a far cry from the compact leaves we see on indoor plants. Giving your Silver Streak a moss pole encourages this natural size increase.
💡 Pro Tips
Light: Bright indirect light brings out the crispest, most vivid silver variegation. It tolerates lower light well, though the silver markings may soften in dim conditions.
Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Pothos are forgiving of occasional missed waterings but prefer consistent moisture over boom-and-bust cycles.
Climbing: Give it a moss pole or trellis to encourage larger leaves and more dramatic variegation as it climbs.
Humidity: Adapts to average household humidity but appreciates a little extra moisture for the most lush growth.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
Important: Pothos are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Perfect for: Hanging baskets, high shelves, moss poles, collectors, and anyone looking for a variegated vining houseplant with silvery, metallic elegance and genuinely easy care.

Alocasia Variegated Frydek Brandie Perry
The plant did not arrive in great shape. However, it was an alocasia and I did not add insulation so this is not on the seller (and we all know alocasia does not travel well anddddd they come back)
From start to finish the transaction was amazing. They gave me a discount for my next order even though I didn't ask for one because I knew the risks, and they continued to answer my questions and help me! Will def order again from them and would encourage others to as well!
