The Cebu Blue Pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum) is the Pothos that makes people do a double-take. Its long, narrow leaves have a distinctive blue-silver shimmer — a soft, metallic iridescence that shifts in different lighting and gives the whole plant a cool, ethereal quality unlike any other Pothos variety. Young leaves are sleek and elongated with that signature blue-silver sheen; as the plant matures and climbs, the leaves develop natural fenestrations (splits along the edges) that transform it into something that looks more like a tropical Monstera than the Pothos it started as.
Named after Cebu Island in the Philippines, where it was first widely collected, Epipremnum pinnatum is actually a distinct species from the common Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) — though the two are closely related and share the same easy-going care requirements. In the wild, it's a vigorous climber that uses aerial roots to scale tree trunks, with leaves that can grow enormous in the forest canopy. Indoors, it's one of the fastest-growing and most rewarding vining houseplants you can own, and it's equally beautiful trailing from a hanging basket or climbing a moss pole where its true potential really shows.
🌿 Fun Facts
The blue-silver shimmer on Cebu Blue leaves is caused by a thin layer of air between the upper and lower leaf surfaces that reflects light — a phenomenon called structural coloration, similar to what creates the iridescence in butterfly wings and peacock feathers.
Given a climbing support, Cebu Blue leaves will eventually develop fenestrations — natural splits along the leaf edges — a dramatic transformation that makes the mature plant look like an entirely different species from the juvenile form.
Cebu Blue is one of the few Pothos varieties that is a true species rather than a cultivar — meaning it occurs naturally in the wild, unlike most named Pothos varieties which are selected or bred forms.
💡 Pro Tips
Light: Bright indirect light enhances the blue-silver shimmer most dramatically. It tolerates lower light well but the iridescence is less vivid in dim conditions.
Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. It's forgiving of occasional missed waterings but prefers consistent moisture for the fastest growth.
Climbing: Give it a moss pole or trellis to unlock its full potential — larger leaves, more dramatic fenestrations, and a completely different look as it matures.
Humidity: Adapts to average household humidity but appreciates a little extra for the most lush, rapid growth.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
Important: Pothos are toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Perfect for: Hanging baskets, moss poles, collectors, and anyone looking for a fast-growing blue-silver vining houseplant with a dramatic transformation as it matures.

Alocasia Variegated Frydek Brandie Perry
The plant did not arrive in great shape. However, it was an alocasia and I did not add insulation so this is not on the seller (and we all know alocasia does not travel well anddddd they come back)
From start to finish the transaction was amazing. They gave me a discount for my next order even though I didn't ask for one because I knew the risks, and they continued to answer my questions and help me! Will def order again from them and would encourage others to as well!
