If you've ever wanted a plant that makes people stop and say "what is that?" — the Philodendron 'Lickety Split' is your answer. Its deeply lobed, sculptural leaves fan out wide and lush, creating an instant tropical atmosphere in any living room, entryway, or office. This is the kind of houseplant that anchors a room. Hardy, fast-growing, and surprisingly low-maintenance — it's a showstopper that doesn't demand much in return.
Fun fact: 'Lickety Split' is a cultivar of Philodendron bipinnatifidum, a species native to the rainforests of South America. In the wild, these plants grow into massive, tree-like specimens with leaves that can span several feet. Indoors, they stay more manageable — but still impressively large. The deeply cut leaf lobes aren't just for looks; they're an adaptation to allow wind to pass through without snapping the leaf in tropical storms.

Care Guide
Light: Medium to bright indirect light is ideal. It can tolerate lower light better than most aroids, but growth will slow and leaves will be smaller. Avoid harsh direct sun.
Watering: Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out between waterings. This plant is more forgiving of underwatering than overwatering — soggy roots are its biggest enemy. Always use a pot with drainage.
Humidity & Temperature: Loves warm, humid conditions. Ideal temps are 65°F–85°F (18°C–29°C). Keep away from cold drafts, AC vents, and anything below 55°F. A humidifier nearby or regular misting keeps it thriving.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength. Skip in fall and winter.
Soil: A well-draining mix is key — standard potting soil amended with perlite works great. Avoid dense, compacted mixes that hold too much moisture.
Pro Tip: Give it room to spread — this plant grows wide and loves space to show off. Wipe the leaves down with a damp cloth every few weeks to keep them clean and maximize light absorption. One of the best large-leaf houseplants for anyone building an indoor tropical garden.
Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and children.

Alocasia Variegated Frydek Brandie Perry
The plant did not arrive in great shape. However, it was an alocasia and I did not add insulation so this is not on the seller (and we all know alocasia does not travel well anddddd they come back)
From start to finish the transaction was amazing. They gave me a discount for my next order even though I didn't ask for one because I knew the risks, and they continued to answer my questions and help me! Will def order again from them and would encourage others to as well!
