- Botanical Name: Monstera Thai Constellation
- Common Names: Thai Constellation
- Description: Monstera Thai Constellation is a rare but fast-growing plant from the Monstera Deliciosa family. This monstera has plenty of heavenly splatters and splotches of creamy or off-white against their green leaves. It almost looks like the night sky with stars.
*Please note the leaves may not have any splits but those will appear as the plant matures.
Light
- Bright, Indirect Light: Place in a bright spot, ideally near a, east- or west-facing window, as they need high light to support their creamy variegation.
-
Avoid Direct Sun: Too much direct afternoon sun can burn the leaves.

Watering
- Dry Top Soil: Allow the top 50–75% of the soil to dry out between waterings.
- Root Rot Risk: Thai Constellations are prone to root rot, so avoid overwatering and soggy soil.
- Watering Method: Alternate between top and bottom watering; ensure all excess water drains away.
Soil and Potting
- Chunky Mix: Use a well-draining mixture such as orchid bark, coco coir/chips, perlite, and a little potting soil.
- Drainage is Mandatory: Always use a pot with drainage holes.
Temperature and Humidity
- Warmth: Thrives in temperatures between65F-80F(18C-27C)
- Humidity: High humidity is preferred (50-60%+), which can be maintained with a humidifier or by clustering with other plants.
- Avoid Drafts: Keep away from cold windows, air vents, and air conditioning units.
Fertilizer and Maintenance
- Fertilize Monthly: Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the spring and summer growing seasons.
- Cleaning: Wipe leaves monthly with a damp cloth or neem oil solution to remove dust and prevent pests.
- Pruning: Trim brown, variegated leaves to keep the plant healthy.
Common Issues
- Root Rot: Indicated by mushy stems or yellowing leaves.
- Browning: Often caused by low humidity, inconsistent watering, or too much direct sunlight.
- Pests: Inspect for spider mites or mealybugs, especially under leaves, and treat with neem oil.
