At Izzys Tropicals and Plant Shop, we take exceptional care in packaging and shipping every order to ensure your plants arrive healthy and in excellent condition. All orders include Free Nationwide Shipping — no minimums, no exceptions.

We ship exclusively within the United States.

Where Orders Ship From

Our corporate office is located in Dilley, Texas. We partner with specialized US nurseries to ship your live plants directly to your door from greenhouse facilities in Central Florida and Southern California, supporting broader national coverage and faster routing.

Shipping Cost

Free Nationwide Shipping on every order — no minimums, no exceptions.

Processing & Delivery Times

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will not be processed until the next business day. We schedule shipments to avoid plants sitting in carrier facilities over weekends or during extreme weather conditions.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to weather, carrier delays, or peak shipping periods. We appreciate your understanding in these situations.

Carriers

We ship via UPS, FedEx, and USPS, selecting the fastest available service for live plant orders. Once your order ships, you will receive tracking information to monitor your delivery.

Packaging

All plants are carefully packaged in custom-designed plant packaging engineered to protect live specimens during transit. We use sustainable, paper-based materials throughout — keeping single-use plastics to an absolute minimum.

❄️ Cold Weather Shipping

Tropical and subtropical plants are sensitive to cold temperatures. Cold exposure can cause mushy, darkened, or wilted leaves — and severe cold damage is often irreversible.

Our cold-weather measures:

  • Orders shipping to cold-weather destinations are packed with insulation and a heat pack to maintain safe temperatures during transit
  • We closely monitor weather conditions and may hold shipments until it is safe to ship during extreme cold

Heat Pack Policy: A heat pack is strongly recommended for orders shipping to cold-weather regions — one heat pack per every 3–4 plants. It is the customer's responsibility to add a heat pack to their order at checkout when shipping to cold-weather regions.

⚠️ Important: If you decline a heat pack at checkout and your plant arrives cold-damaged, your order is not eligible for our 30-Day Arrive-Alive Guarantee, store credit, or replacement. By declining a heat pack, you accept full responsibility for cold-related transit damage. This aligns with our Return & Refund Policy and Terms of Service.

Do You Ship Year-Round?

Yes. We ship year-round. However, we monitor weather conditions closely and may adjust shipping schedules or packaging as needed to protect your plants during extreme heat or cold.

Preparing for Delivery

Please bring your package inside as soon as possible after delivery. Live plants should not be left outdoors, near a mailbox, or exposed to direct sun or freezing temperatures for extended periods.

When Your Plant Arrives

  • Open the box immediately and place your plant in bright, indirect light
  • Avoid sudden temperature shifts
  • Water only if the soil feels dry
  • Do not repot right away — allow the plant to settle for a few days in stable indoor conditions before making any changes
  • Minor cosmetic stress such as a damaged leaf, slight drooping, or mild soil disturbance is normal after shipping and typically resolves within a few days with routine care

Minor cosmetic imperfections — such as a single yellowing leaf, a bent stem, or slight soil disruption — do not qualify for a replacement claim. Natural variation in size, shape, color, and leaf count from listing photos is expected and is not eligible for a return or claim.

If your plant arrives with severe shipping damage — crushed, broken, or dead on arrival — please refer to our Return & Refund Policy and contact us at Support@izzyplants.com within 30 days of the recorded delivery date with your order number and clear photo evidence.

Incorrect Shipping Address

Please double-check your shipping address before completing checkout. Address changes can only be accommodated within 24–48 hours of order placement. If an order is delivered to an incorrectly entered address, a replacement shipment to the correct address is available at a 20% discount. We are not responsible for non-delivery resulting from an incorrectly entered address.
